A family legacy in the rolling hills of Jackson County
Over the past two decades, 36 home sites were thoughtfully developed across beautiful lots from level to rolling meadows — and all but one are now in the hands of families who love this place. Lots range in size from 1.178 to 5.957 acres, and all enjoy telephone, electric, water, cable, and high-speed internet access.
The community features wooded areas and ponds, with neighbors who gather for events and enjoy the natural setting. One lot remains available for those looking to join this established community.
Mountain Meadow Estates is a family legacy — developed on land we grew up on, a place we hold dear. What began as farmland was shaped with care into a neighborhood where families could find the same peace and beauty that made us love this land. Every lot was planned with intention, every road maintained with pride. This isn't just a subdivision — it's a place families choose to put down roots.
Hilly Jackson County is located about sixty miles southeast of Columbus and comprises an area of 420 square miles. Little Raccoon Creek crosses a section of the county and Symmes Creek rises here. There are valuable deposits of salt, coal, limestone, iron ore and clay.
Jackson County was settled by the Welsh people and in the early days Welsh was the language commonly spoken here. They began the development of the mineral resources which today are of industrial importance to the state and the nation.
Thomas Jones, who established one of the first furnaces in the area, is supposed to have supplied the iron plate for the battleship "Merrimac." Jackson was once the center of the nation's silvery iron industry, but now houses one of the country's largest manufacturers of canned food products.
Near Leo is a petroglyph, a large rock with carvings of figures and animals.

Chillicothe is approximately 30-35 minutes away, and Columbus is about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
The development is in the Scioto Township.
